Restorative Yoga

Come to the farm to slow down and relax with mindful sessions of restorative yoga in our beautiful, candle-lit, temperature-controlled blue barn.

Restorative yoga is a completely rest-based practice that balances a fast-paced lifestyle. It offers stillness, healing, spaciousness, and deep relaxation to counter the body's "fight or flight" response.

We have teamed with Jennifer Krueger, owner of Forty Winks Wellness, to bring restorative yoga classes to The Studio at 1870 Farm. Jennifer studies with Judith Lasater, founder of the restorative yoga movement. Jennifer is a certified Relax and Renew® instructor.

Information for all classes:

Go to to register for all classes.

Pre-registration required due to limited space. Class size limited to 12.

Please arrive ten minutes early for class to allow time to sign in and gather your props. If you are able to arrive even earlier, we encourage you to begin to separate from the cares of the day with a stroll around the farm. Something about alpacas and pygmy goats sets the mind right for a healing yoga practice!

Dress warmly and comfortably for class. Therapeutic mats and props will be provided.

If you have any questions about restorative yoga or the class itself, please contact Jennifer: or visit

Candlelit   Restorative  Yoga

Join us for a luxurious restorative yoga practice as dusk settles on the farm. The class will move through three to four poses, each held for 5 - 20 minutes with the aid of props. Class ends with a custom brewed chai tea.

$16 per class - Thursdays 7pm-8:30pm (April 5 - May 10)

Jennifer Krueger, M.A., M.Ed. worked as a health educator and researcher for the University of Texas for many years, offering stress management training to thousands of employees at the state health department. Over time, Jennifer realized that our true "super power" in managing stress is to allow the mind and body to rest. Resilience is difficult when we are exhausted! Jennifer has trained with both Shakta Khalsa, one of the world's leading children's yoga teachers, and Judith Lasater, the founder of the Restorative Yoga movement.

Restorative is the "low and slow" branch of yoga.  Poses are done in a prone posture, and generous time is allowed for full relaxation and "surrender" to the props. No yoga experience is necessary to participate.

Jennifer owns Forty Winks Wellness, a new education-based company that teaches health & resilience through rest & recovery.
