Animal Care at the Farm is for anyone interested in caring and playing and learning about the animals at the 1870 Farm. These are once a week for an hour 3:30-4:30.
This is an outdoor activity but we will work in the barn and cottage if its inclement weather. Kids will help with all the day to day responsibilities of caring for farm animals. Ideal Ages 6-11. This is a 5 week class offered Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. (we sometimes can allow a single drop in day based on availability)
Kids Night Out!
We proudly host Kids Vet Club for aspiring Vets, ages 6-14. We teach children about being a veterinarian and some of the challenges, skills and what to expect in the day to day life of a veterinarian! Ages 5 -13
Saturday Morning at the Farm. Drop your kiddos off at the farm while you run errands, go to an exercise class, or whatever! We'll start in the farmhouse and quickly move outside to play with the animals, help with farm chores, go fishing, do some farm-inspired crafting, and more! Each session will be different!
Summer camp at 1870 Farm offers enticing opportunities for kids to unplug and tune in to the natural world. We offer multiple one-week camp options for ages 3.5-13, as well as a CIT program for ages 14-16. For full details & booking, click below:
Whether you are learning about planning a community garden or just want to get your students outdoors, the farm is a great place to learn and play. We host field trips for all ages and customize it to your classroom goals!
